There are at least three musical endeavors catalogued under the name U:
(1) a Japanese singer, artist. Kanagawa Prefecture. After Yoshimi Funta debut with Sony Records under the name, U in the name of "Suitoregashi" theme song 『Pukapuka』 debut. And provide other activities such as music to the front wing to the main theme adult games, lyricist, composer, who also provided music for other artists as a composer and arranger. However, Funta in that work as UCO.
(2) the Japanese actor and singer Shirota Yu (城田優), who debuted with the Single "U" under the Name "U" in April 2011. He is previous member of D-BOYS. He has acted in many dramas and his song "Heart of Glass" is used as the theme song for his 2011 drama "Shitsuren Hoken"
(3) a noise/punk band from Seattle, Washington that utilises cassette tapes, modified instruments (drums, guitars, keyboards) and feedback.
